High Care facilities offer round the clock nursing care and supervision for almost all needs of the elderly resident. There are various levels of care services which includes either permanent or short term care services. The high care facilities offer personal care which includes assistance with daily activities like dressing, toileting and bathing, nursing care for illness, age related problems and pain management.
Other services offered under high care includes recreational therapy which includes exercises or physiotherapy. Similarly, individual assistance with dining and shopping, assistance equipment like walking frames and other medical supplies are also provided.
Nursing care facilities also offers basic pharmacy and sanitary supplies. Residents generally have a shared accommodation while they are served meals in a central common dining area where they can socialize and mingle with other residents. There are separate facilities for complex medical needs like that of residents suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
